Grab Your Domain

We are going to start with a domain so we can set up a professional email address. (Yes, you want one.)

The reason you are grabbing a domain NOW is so you can create a customer email, and eventually expand if you want. No, you don’t need a website to start selling your products, but you do have to own a domain to get a professional looking email address.


I have always used GoDaddy to purchase my domains unless I am starting a WordPress site and then I go through HostGator.

For this guide we are going to use GoDaddy. It works great and is easy to use.


  • Your domain name should be as close to your business name as possible
  • Simple and easy to understand
  • Easy to spell & remember

Professional Email Address

Once you have your domain, you need to setup an email address that has your domain name at the end. This is your professional email address. When you register for a domain, you should be able to request a professional email address.

I use and recommend both Microsoft 365 and G-Suite for this. I use and for mine.

Having an email list one of THE MOST powerful things for your online business. It is the only way you can “own” your audience. For right now I just want you to make sure you have an email and you are ready to start building that list!

An email service provider is a service that will allow you to collect email address. It will also make it possible for you to store and manage those email addresses and then send nurturing and marketing emails to those people.

There are literally dozens and dozens of email service providers out there. They all allow you to build email list and send emails to the peope on those list.
